MISSION
Our mission is to determine valid social
justice issues and to motivate and instigate a parish response to those
issues. We aim to be a catalyst and coordinator to raise awareness and
promote social change accompanied by acts of charity.

GOALS
-
Convey to parish that it is a duty of every Catholic to be
concerned about social justice. (Education)

Involve and encourage every member of the parish to
participate, in some way, in a charity or justice driven ministry.
(Education, Advocacy, Projects, Prayer)

Promote the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops Policy Statements
and other appropriate statements on social justice (Legislative
Advocacy)

Take a more
active role in lobbying state, local, and national representatives
on issues related to social justice, particularly those related to
issues covered by the USCCB and the archdiocese

Provide
specific projects incorporating social justice and charity for
parish-wide participation. (Projects)

Encourage
and facilitate the self-study of committee members in social
justice. (Prayers)
